The Team
We are a boutique consulting firm that works with students across the U.S and abroad. We are based in Bellevue/Seattle and can meet in-person if preferred. After spending three years working with hundreds of students and helping them secure admission into top schools, we’ve perfected our strategies. We’ve both received certifications in College Counseling from Columbia University.
Sophie Sajnani, college counselor and co-founder:
Sophie graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Computer Science in just two years, becoming one of the youngest in her cohort. She has worked as a software engineer at several Fortune 500 companies and founded a tech startup featured on Live with Kelly & Ryan, The Seattle Times, and other national outlets. She has been interviewed by Ashton Kutcher, Hadi Partovi (CEO of Code.org), Kelly Ripa, and Ryan Seacrest, spoken at TEDx, and was selected for the prestigious NSA Stokes Scholarship, earning a TSI/SCI security clearance — experiences that deepened her appreciation for innovation, storytelling, and purpose-driven work.
Sophie is a former Wyzant tutor, where she held a record of hundreds of hours tutored and consistent five-star ratings. Her students have gone on to earn admission to Ivy League and Ivy+ universities, reflecting her dedication to combining strategy, creativity, and mentorship in helping each student reach their fullest potential.
Nancy Kornelia, college counselor and co-founder:
Nancy began her career in social services at a major hospital, where she helped individuals reach their goals through thoughtful guidance and advocacy. She later transitioned to Amazon as a recruiter, where she reviewed thousands of resumes and served on interview panels. Through this experience, she developed a strong understanding of what makes candidates stand out and how selection committees evaluate applicants. She helps students clearly articulate their extracurricular involvement, leadership, and accomplishments, refine activity descriptions and resumes, prepare confidently for interviews, and shape a cohesive personal narrative throughout the college process.
Nancy is passionate about uncovering each student’s unique strengths and potential and brings that same energy into every relationship she builds. She believes no goal is too ambitious when approached with the right mindset and support. Her work is grounded in open, consistent communication with both students and parents to ensure alignment and shared progress. By fostering trust, clarity, and confidence, she empowers students to move forward with purpose toward their aspirations.
